The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC, yesterday, May 13th, 2026, paid a strategic courtesy visit to FSDH Merchant Bank as part of ongoing stakeholder engagements aimed at strengthening partnerships that drive trade, investment, and private sector development between Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and global markets.
The Chamber’s delegation, led by its President & Chairman of Council – Prince Abimbola Olashore, was received by Bukola Smith, FCA – MD/CEO; Stella-Marie Omogbai – Executive Director; and Emenike Ezenduka – Head, Business Banking.
During the meeting, the Chamber presented the vision behind the NBCC Trade Centre — NBCC’s flagship trade facilitation initiative, designed to serve as a structured gateway for Nigerian businesses seeking international expansion and global businesses looking to enter the Nigerian market.
The engagement provided an opportunity to explore areas of collaboration between both institutions, particularly across trade finance, SME export financing, investment advisory, capacity building, structured business support, and international trade facilitation.
NBCC highlighted its evolving role as more than a convening institution, positioning itself as a strategic business growth and trade facilitation platform with access to an extensive network of businesses, bilateral opportunities, trade missions, policy dialogues, and international partnerships through its affiliation with the British Chambers of Commerce.
We appreciate the warm reception by FSDH Merchant Bank, and look forward to building a mutually beneficial institutional relationship that supports enterprise growth, strengthens trade ecosystems, and unlocks new economic opportunities for businesses across sectors.
