
Nigeria's foremost bilateral Chamber of Commerce, The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce, (NBCC), held her 45th Annual General Meeting on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Chamber’s Headquarters in Lekki, bringing an end to the 2-year tenure of the 17th President and Chairman of Council, Mr Ray Atelly, frpa.
The installation of the new President and Chairman of Council, as well as other Officers of the Chamber, took place during the AGM as Prince Abimbola Olashore was elected as the 19th President and Chairman of Council, with Mr. Akin Osuntoki, Mr Nnamdi Okonkwo were elected as Deputy Presidents. In his acceptance speech,
Prince Abimbola Olashore said his emergence as the president was a call to duty to take the NBCC forward on its already successful journey.
He pledged to create balance within the chamber by re-establishing the British side, with emphasis to make sure the British end was well represented.
“I would also try to improve the chamber’s membership by emphasising membership benefits and making members see the NBCC as the first port of call in matters of trade,” he said.
Olashore restated the NBCC’s commitment to advocating on behalf of the Nigerian- British business community to both governments and act as the bridge to facilitate trade between both countries.
Abimbola Olashore is a visionary financial leader with a mission to empower businesses and drive transformative growth. He was the Deputy President & Chairman Finance & General Purposes Committee of the Chamber until his election as President.
